The first is at 12:15 p.m. in Mountain Empire Community College's Goodloe Center, Phillips-Taylor Hall, presented by Pro-Art Association and Mountain Empire Community College.
An evening concert is at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths at the University of Virginia's College at Wise, presented by Pro-Art Association and The University of Virginia's College at Wise.
Admission is free. Both programs are presented in honor of Black History Month.
In addition to being a critically-acclaimed jazz singer, L'Tanya Mari' is an arranger who has been called a “commanding force in the jazz vocal genre.”
The concerts are partially supported by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
