Bud Phillips, Bristol’s popular historian, is a regular on the speaking circuit in the Twin-Cities. Throughout the week he speaks to civic groups, church gatherings and reunions on the history of his adopted home. He takes pride in acquainting the listener to the sights and sounds, myth and mystery of bygone days. He often quips, “If it has happened, it has happened in Bristol”, and he has taken his 40 years of research and documented many of these stories in a five volume history of the city. With the approach of Halloween Phillips is speaking about ghostly sightings in Bristol. These stories come on the heals of his 2010 release of “Ghosts of Bristol – Haunting Tales from the Twin-Cities.”
Phillips will be presenting some of these stories and other haunting selections on Monday October 31, 2 p.m. at Broadmore Senior Living in Bristol Tennessee. The hour-long session will be followed by refreshments and a book signing of his popular histories. At 3:30pm children are invited to enjoy trick or treat with the residents and staff at Broadmore. There will be a Halloween costume contest with prizes and snacks for everyone, so bring the kids and grandkids to this fun event!
The community is cordially invited to join-in to these free events. Broadmore Senior Living is located behind Bristol Regional Medical Center at 826 Meadowview Road, Bristol Tennessee.
