Gatlinburg gets in the groove of the holidays

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Through Christmas Eve, the Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales program presents carolers on the parkway in Gatlinburg, Tenn., on Friday and Saturday nights.

Most are members of the Walters State Community College chorus. A barber shop quartet from Gatlinburg-Pittman High School is also joining the winter lineup of entertainers for this fourth annual event.

Look for groups of Dickens-style holiday carolers dressed in traditional Victorian era costumes strolling the parkway, 5-9 p.m., on Dec. 16-17. In addition, Zeno the Gatlinburg Bear is slated to delay hibernation this year to make occasional appearances and greet holiday visitors.

Also available: $5 rides on Gatlinburg's Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights.
