This weekend is Bristol by the Bushel weekend at the State Street Farmers Market located at 810 State Street in historic downtown Bristol. Come out and see a bushel of local authors, pick-up a bushel basket of vegetables, put your name in the bushel basket of prize drawings every half-hour, and get to know our bushels of great farmers and vendors.
Also, pick-up the last in the series of three market posters that were printed for the market’s 2010 season. If you don’t have the first two prints, pick those up along with the final poster of the season. These posters are of a limited addition and will not be re-printed in the future.
The prize drawings for State Street Farmers Market dishtowels, farmers market bowls, t-shirts, etc. will begin at 7:30 AM and a name will be drawn every half-hour until the 11:30 drawing where one name will be drawn for the bushel basket of fresh vegetables, crafts and other goodies. You do not have to be present to win but you do have to come by the market to put your name in the bushel basket drawings.
Enjoy the last few produce crops of this year’s harvest. Remember the market is open until the last weekend of October, with the grand finale – Pumpkin Palooza, which will be taking on a whole new face this year. Keep watching for further details on this family fun event.
