General Shale Brick, the North American subsidiary of Wienerberger AG and a leading manufacturer of one of the world’s oldest green building materials, will showcase its extensive line of masonry materials and outdoor living products at the 43rd Annual Home and Garden Show in Johnson City, Tenn., this weekend.
The two-day event, sponsored by the Johnson City Area Home Builders Association, will be held Feb. 18-19 at Freedom Hall Civic Center, located at 1320 Pactolas Road in Johnson City. The event is open to the public during the following hours: Saturday, Feb. 18, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 19, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
In the Tri-Cities region, General Shale operates retail locations at 3015 Bristol Highway and 102 South Broadway in Johnson City, 909 Mountain View Drive in Piney Flats, Tenn., and 925 East Stone Drive in Kingsport, Tenn. – as well as 16019 Lee Highway in Bristol, Va.
“The Home and Garden Show is a one-stop shopping venue for all types of building, remodeling and garden projects,” says Richard Baker, manager of General Shale’s stores in Johnson City. “Homeowners, do-it-yourselfers and professionals are invited to come and learn more about today’s General Shale. We offer more than just brick; our product line also includes thin brick, thin rock, pavers, building materials and outdoor living products – for creating beautiful, customized upgrades and additions.”
GS1, General Shale’s mobile display unit featuring attractive displays of the company’s new Outdoor Living products and do-it-yourself kits, will be located near the exhibit hall and is open to the public during show hours. Visitors may walk down the lighted paver path inside GS1 to view an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, fire pit and many more products – and discover creative ideas for incorporating these items into their own outdoor living spaces. GS1 is visiting the Johnson City Home and Garden Show as it travels around the country to highlight General Shale’s complete line of Outdoor Living products.
Baker points out two key factors that differentiate General Shale products from the competition: (1) The general public may purchase all of the company’s products directly, and (2) all products are the same professional grade materials used by building contractors and landscaping companies.
