Kingsport, TN, December 1, 2009 – The Professional Women’s Network (PWN) is a group of women with common goals and interests related to interacting with others who are dedicated to helping themselves and each other to grow both professionally and personally. This is a forum for professional women to communicate with each other in order to enhance their individual career and personal development. This is accomplished by sharing strategies for success, communicating issues, problems, solution and questions and getting honest feedback, developing a better understanding of the diverse career paths available and identifying kindred spirits for possible mentor/mentee relationships.
Our new membership structure allows you, as a professional woman, to decide if you are able to attend the bimonthly program meetings or pick and choose the meetings that you would like to attend. Standard Membership ($110) includes attendance at all 6 programs, access to clubs, outside activities, annual book, and members’ website. Associate Membership ($40) includes all activities EXCEPT the programs. The Associate PWN Member will pay an additional $20 program fee for each program she commits to attending by a Confirmed Reservation to the Meeting Invitation. The Associate Member program fee will be paid at the beginning of each program.
We are currently finalizing our list of programs for 2010, and we will be offering, once again, an unparalleled opportunity for you as a professional business woman to meet, interact with, and engage other professional women during regular meetings and extracurricular activities. With your membership, you will have access to our web site, networking activities, book club, forums, theatre events and activities focused on wellness.
PWN bimonthly meetings are planned in such a way as to provide an unequaled opportunity to meet, interact with, and engage other professional women over lunch. While speakers and/or discussion topics of particular interest to professional women are the focus of these lunch time sessions, members are encouraged to exchange business cards and to continue networking and supporting one another between meetings.
The dates for the PWN bi-monthly meetings are Tuesday February 16 (Meadowview), Thursday April 22 (tbd), Wednesday June 23 (Food city), Wednesday August 11 (Food City), Thursday October 14 (tbd) and Tuesday December 7 (Meadowview).
