The $5.7 million Anderson Street Bridge project is nearly complete.
But the finishing touches must wait for warmer weather.
The project, funded mainly by state and federal funds, is scheduled for completion on June 30, and meeting that schedule will not be a problem, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Simpson Construction of Cleveland, Tenn., was hired by the state to build the four-lane bridge, which will be equipped with a 5-foot-wide walkway on each side and two new intersections with traffic signals.
Read Tuesday’s Bristol Herald Courier to learn about the work needed to complete the project.
