Former Norton, Va., resident Randy Fugate recently received an ADDY award from the American Advertising Federation.
Fugate, a photographer, filmmaker and marketing executive, received the award for a series of commercials he wrote, directed and produced for Western Beauty Institute, according to a news release.
He received the award last month at the Ad Pro awards dinner celebration.
A Kentucky native, Fugate grew up in Southwest Virginia and attended the University of Virginia’s College at Wise before attending Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, Calif.
In addition to his marketing work with a number of national and international firms, Fugate has been involved in developing Sega movie games and Internet software for imaging firm Canon.
